At ISA’s Sewing School and Institute, we teach sewing in coordination with business skills to girls who need economic empowerment for safety and security in their lives.

The school opened in February of 2025, and we have already successfully completed the first round of a 4-week course in business fundamentals.

The school has produced highly sought-after Kantha quilts, feminine hygiene washable pads, bags, pajamas, and aprons. They sell their goods to a market in the USA with great results!

We hope to expand the school so that we can invite more at-risk girls to learn the power that comes from making and managing their own money.

We recently purchased more machines to help keep up with different requests for quilted bags.

One month of rent, utilities, and basics for the school costs $500.00 per month. We need this base amount each month so that the girls attending can keep more of the profits from their work, giving them a more manageable living wage.
